Burke County Dollars for Scholars awards scholarships to students who have graduated from Burke Central and Bowbells High School through an application process.  Thanks for taking the next step toward your post-high school education funding.  Click on the link below to begin to create your profile. The scholarship application for graduating high school seniors opens January 1st.  The deadline to complete and submit your application for local scholarships to graduates of Bowbells and Burke Central, class of 2024, is March 30, 2024.

The deadline for the Continuing Ed. scholarship is November 15, 2023.  If you have questions, please contact a Burke County Dollars for Scholars board member. 

1. Create a login.
2. Create & complete your Profile. You will complete information in each of the groups listed below.
   • Basic and Additional Info
   • School Info
   • Academic Info
   • Supporting Material
   • Activities, Awards, Employment
3. Reference Section > Counselor/Registrar Information: Submit the request AFTER March 21 so your transcript includes the 3rd Nine Weeks Grades. Request transcript from high school principal, let him/her know it is for DFS and they will know when to pull the transcript.   
4. Apply for Scholarships when they open. When the reviewers see your application, they do not have any personal information that identifies YOU, so be complete.
5. Make sure you click 'submit' to ensure your application has gone through!
